On Monday, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan had an injury update on Deebo Samuel and it wasn't good.
Deebo Samuel came out of Sunday's game with a calf strain and will miss "a couple" of weeks, Kyle Shanahan said. Shanahan said Samuel hurt the calf late -- TV cameras caught him grimacing as he came off the field.

Samuel's upcoming absence is on the heels of the 49ers placing star running back Christian McCaffrey on the injured reserve list before Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings.
Samuel came out late in Sunday's game as the 49ers were trying to stage a late rally. Depending on what "a couple" means, Samuel could be ready to come back in week 5 at home against the Arizona Cardinals or week six in Seattle, which is a Thursday night game. Thursday night's game would also be the first game McCaffrey is eligible to come back from the injured reserve list.
The 49ers' opponent this upcoming Sunday, the Los Angeles Rams, are in a bit of an injury crisis of their own. Star wide receiver Cooper Kupp is going to be out an extended period of time. They are already missing Puka Nacua who was hurt opening weekend.
With Samuel out, all eyes will be on Brandon Aiyuk who has had two quiet games after signing his new contract.
